Trailer Hitch style docking port for rovers

With the new wheel physics OTW it seems it would be an opportune time to add a "docking port" that enables 2 ground vehicles to attach. Maybe a "trailer hitch" sort of thing?

Should allow for some vertical/horizontal/angular misalignment

Should allow for resource transfer

I know it's not what you are suggesting,  but 'the claw' already does all this.

That said, a much smaller 'coupling' part is a good idea.  And, with clever design, it could also function in the much needed ground refuelling pipe role.

Yup, and I do already use the claw for this purpose, I guess even just a "mini claw" would work, but a stylized trailer hitch would be better
