finally picked this game after a physics buddy telling me about it for a few years! After about 12 restarts and 1 kerbal stuck in orbit because of lack of fuel I decided to check the forums! Hopefully I can avoid some of the mistakes or accidents committed by the brave kerbals before me haha.

Hi @Smurf Kerbin!

The ∆V for a ship = (Isp*Acceleration due to gravity (for Kerbin, 9.81 m/s^2))(Natural Log of (total mass/empty mass) It normally takes about 4Km/s of ∆V to reach LKO, if you have a streamlined ship.
