I was wondering how many of you guys are part of the amateur radio service. My callsign is KD2KDG, and like some other threads I saw (Boy Scouts, etc.) I figured that the two hobbies would frequently cross. It would be cool to see some of you guys on HF!

KA5ONF - but that was 20 something years ago. Dad was NC5J and mom was NC5I. Would like to get back into it sometime, but I'm gonna have to find one of those round tuits. Intersting/ I've kinda thought amateur radio was the first internet. We had more than one teletype setup. The first was was similar to this, not so big :

The second setup used a commodore 64. Could actually read on the monitor and send with keyboard. I always thought the teletype sounded very much like dial-up. Wow, been a long time ago, memories.
