Transferring craft files

So I FINALLY got KSP 1.0.5 and because I'm extra attached to KSP 1.0.2, I'm thinking of transferring my craft files the newest version. Is it possible? What restrictions? Oh and one of my craft's cockpit view broke so yeah.

As far as I know, there are no backwards-incompatible changes from 1.0.2 to 1.0.5, so you should just be able to copy .craft files across with no problem.

That said, the rules for reentry heating have been tinkered with quite a bit, so it's possible that a craft that survived reentry just fine in 1.0.2 might have issues in 1.0.5, or vice versa.  Ditto other things, like heat performance on mining ships, physics of craft landing in water, etc.

So the answer is:  basically should be fine, could be some differences in flight from what you're used to.

Maybe you will have to buy some tech you alredy had when you transfer the save

There are some parts that changed from 1.0.2 to 1.0.5, the mk1 cockpit for example. So maybe some of your craft may look different, but they should work neverless. I successfully transferred craft files even from 1.0, so it is doabke.
