This seems to be going well. I'll probably submit a payload. Unfortunately, only one of the images in chapter 29 works for me.

About the payload, send it to me, I can get Private-4 flying sometime soon.

And the images, do you have bad wifi? They might not all load if that's the case. They are all still uploaded on Imgur so I'll check.

All of the other posts had working images, and one of them is working.

Edit: They started working on their own, for inscrutable computer reasons.

Well, good that that's fixed. I have no idea about super technical stuff!

I'll get the huge cruise missiles and the kilometer long aircraft carriers!

I'll get the Nuclear Cannon!

hehehe, while it's tempting, we really don't want more than one of him out there... lol....

Back on topic, I do love the concept.
I'm wondering if you used that mod... Distant Objects I think it's called... if you used that, could you actually see a satellite constellation from the surface of Kerbin?  That could make a really cool screenshot....

Well, if they were low enough, probably.

hey, i was wondering how you would submit a craft for the private missions. i was also wondering if you had plans for a space station.

Well, all you have to do is make a probe 0.625 is appreciated and send the craft file to me.

We'll see about a station.

Also, note to all:

Chapter 31 will be coming out in the next three days. I'm working on a KSP Youtube video today, and I will try to get the Chapter together. We'll see.

Yes!

Are we allowed to submit multiple craft? I have a probe named Don (Dawn)! To Dres!

Go ahead! The Dres transfer window is in a year or so.

I have to admit, Dres is becoming an increasingly attractive prospect to set up a large-scale mining, refueling and research infrastructure.  Especially since it's gravity is slightly less than the Mun, meaning one could easily adapt any Mun mission architectures to Dres operations with practically no changes; you just have to get them there.  Heck, Ike's gravity is almost identical to Dres, meaning the same could be said for Ike.

Ohhhh, the possibilities...

would you be able to launch a 1.25 meter probe? i have a design for an interplanetary ore scanner, but it is in a 1.25m form factor. it has about 12,000 m/s delta-v, so it can scan multiple planets. i also have a small space station design with no part over about 12 tons, if your interested.

I used up my daily quota of "likes" :(

HydroCorp Industries Aerospace Division has a payload, target: Moho! I'll try to put extra Delta-V for course corrections.

Thank you, DaMachinator!

Sure to both of you, but remember the space program is early on in its stages. We only just sent probes to Duna.

I want to thank @Raptor9 once more for the craft used in this Chapter.

Now, a much awaited chapter (I hope):

Chapter 31-The power of the Atom.

[Log 58-Start-Kolonia Navy Ship Testimony (I-Class Hospital)-Medical Facility]

I'm writing this log because it is the last thing I am able to do. Type. The burns and the radiation poisoning have taken their toll. You know the invasion and what not. I'll refresh you anyways.

p4yKFNC.png

Remember that plan? Well, I was part of Azul Squad. Represented by the dark blue line. We were briefed and then sent off to the planes. They told us very little. I don't think the military commanders talking to us at the space center were very enthusiastic. Then we were off. Off to Wassu.

4tcw2tV.png

I still think that it was unacceptable to bring the space program into this, but who would ever care about my opinion? No one.

oC36vOt.png

It was actually not that much of an invasion at first, that's why I haven't bothered to write anything until now. It was normal, something like out of the drills. The aircraft landed safely on Chattanogenda Island, and we had no resistance.

Wt9Hxba.png

The invasion of the main island, Wassu itself, was also absolutely easy. In the first 5 hours our troops had gone further than what was expected in the 8 days, and all without a single shot.

zrZrtff.png

We took Lodnie airbase in seconds. It was completely abandoned. If you look on the Above map, Lodnie is where all our troops should have joined together and formed Black Squad, known to most as Black Death. So taking it with no casualties was what we needed, especially if we wanted to take Gastjorneyo, the underground capital of Wassu.

Planes were landing one after another, touching down on the runway.

BAdKmig.png

Soon after that, we were called into the main hanger of the base to discuss the next plan. I, however, along with my unit, fell behind in the invasion, probably because we had a malfunctioning tank that didn't want to move half the time. We ended up leaving it behind. I didn't know that being late would save my life.

At the time, only a few aircraft were up on "The Deck." Main Hanger A had the rest of them, 12 aircraft in total. Main Hanger B had over 7,000 Kerbals inside it, packed to listen to the speeches.

TG8NxFz.png

Nobody was ready when a single aircraft swooped in. We had no defenses set up. I watched in horror as it fired a missile. I knew many would die.

CGoEyUI.png

I watched the missile track.

Pff0apR.png

Within seconds, it was upon the base.

lmtslAU.png

I screamed in horror as I realized it was a Nuclear Missile. It impacted the base, blowing a whole hanger clear away.

For the lucky ones, death was instantaneous.

CSYVSB4.png

But for some, like me, the shockwave and radiation were the end. Now I'm here. We pulled out from Wassu, and counted 13,000 casualties in total. More and More are dying now, especially on this ship. I will be one of them.

I am worried for my country. My family. My kids. What will become of all of that. How many will die? How many families will end in ruin? Why did we do this invasion? What for? What was it worth?

This is Ludvin Kerman, signing off.

Spoiler

Transmission start_

Creativity HQ to Crusiers Phobos I-X. Begin search for Katax objects. Rendezvous with all tracked objects around Kerbin. If any Katax ships are found, you have permission to open fire.

Transmision ended_

Well, now we don't have to worry about any stations getting wrecked by Katax. I think 10 super heavy warships is enough right?

Will the space program be far enough ahead to launch a probe to Dres by the transfer window? Because my probe is done. It's an ion powered space probe, in case that makes a difference.

That's an interesting chapter, telling it in 1st Person from a Kerbal's log.  I think it's fitting that you used the 'Skyhawk' to deliver the missile, the fact that it's based on the F-5/T-38; and DCS: F-5 Tiger is supposed to be out this month.

The Caduceus is rather low-tech for that reason. It should be able to go one way to Moho's surface without a gravity assist if you wait for a transfer window.

LFO engines only. The most advanced part is probably the Mainsail or the Spark.
