truncated signatures

I see quite a lot of signatures which are truncated or clipped at the bottom.  I know that signatures have a max height, but the WYSIWYG editor when editing your sig doesn't indicate that there's a limit. I guess what's happening is users who have the "View signatures" option switched off don't see their own sig, so they never see that it's clipped at the bottom.  

Would it be possible to have a preview of the signature on the sig editing page ('cos WYSIWYG is like cake) or at least put a note on that page that says something about the height limit?  Lots of clipped sigs kinda makes the forum look messy or like the page is not being rendered correctly (which obviously isn't the case, but at a glance it just feels like something is wrong).

Dunno. It shows a preview without clipping, but you can see how it looks at your posts anyways. I'd guess people are just lazy to fix. After the forum-change, my sig got clipped too. I didn't mind it for a long time before I got around to fix it. Getting myslef to fix the blurred avatar took even more.

except for users who've switched off displaying of sigs, they won't see.
also new users won't know there's limit until they've wasted time making one sig only to find it's clipped when they post, so at least a note on the sig-edit page would be helpful.

It's a special type of person who makes an oversized sig, yet has sig visibility disabled (probably because they're tired of looking at oversized sigs).

Would be good if images could be disabled.

Account Setting > Signature > Show other people's signatures alongside their content  - off

When was that instituted? Don't get me wrong, it's a great change. I was getting annoyed by looking at 15-screen high threads of 6 posts, due to ridiculous signatures.

EDIT: nvm. Apparently a long time ago. And yet I'm still seeing them sometimes --must be an oversight in the Stylish script that I use.

I'd like to see the availability of adding a "brag page" to our profiles. That way, most of the junk in signatures could be displayed there...
