Default Parts

Hey there, KSP forum!

Being my first post and all this is rather embarrassing, but I have a problem

I downloaded Kosmos\' Parts pack and it overwrites your original parts. Being the idiot I am I forgot to back up the originals! If there is any way to get them back or a file online where the originals are at I would be much obliged if you can tell me

Also, to build on Nibula\'s post, it\'s preferable to back up your game before installing any mods. A bad install of a plugin, or messing with the .cfg of certain parts without knowing what you\'r doing, can lead to disaster.

I always have two copies of the game. I have one folder with the default download, I then copy this to a new folder specifically for modded versions.

Me too. It makes recovering from a mod incompatibility a piece of cake. Saves having to unzip again.

It says in the Forum post that you should remove your original parts or 'bad things will happen'... I have installed mods before and this is the first time I forgot to back it up

What they meant was, if you have a previous version of Kosmos, you should get rid of them first, not your default parts
