QA: small group of devs (~10) work on getting rid of obvious bugs and game balance

Experimentals: a much larger (a hundred or so) group of people play the game and test it until their computers beg for mercy. Usually lasts a few weeks, but varies depending on the scope of the update. They report their findings on bugs, game balance issues, and give general feedback. Also when the Hype Train leaves the station.
