What ore rate should a large drill have in optimal conditions where the ore concentration is 5.7%?

I've got my SSTO space-plane on Minimus and currently my ore rate is 0.004287/sec. This happens even at 500K and plenty of Electric Charge  available.

From the wiki:

"The ore extraction rate is 0.075·c·m where c is the concentration between 0 and 1 and m is the multiplier supplied by the level of the highest level engineer on-board."

0.075 * 0.057 = 0.004275, so your ore concentration is actually slightly higher than 5.70%

It also depends on the drills you have. The smaller ones have a lower ore rate.

Under optimal conditions (large drill + level 5 engineer) you should get a rate of ~0.06.

Ah thanks, so its what it should be. I'll need to get an engineer aboard...
