first single stage to duna spaceplane

may not be much to the veteran players around here but im sharing anyway, i spent a total of 4 hours designing this vehicle, another 2 testing it, another hour flying it to duna, and another 2 and a half hours editing the video i made and im pretty proud of myself for finally getting around to doing something like this:

I like how you skip maneuver nodes for the half point adjustment and just wing it.

Well, all launched parts arrived to Duna. Just some got integrated into the atmosphere and the soil.

Depends how you interpret "to Duna". 

It reached Duna's SOI and atmosphere, before the wings fell off, on a trajectory that eventually turned suborbital. It just didn't reach the surface in a single stage.

LOL yep, couldnt figure it out so i just made the adjustments myself-

keep it up, its taken me since .19 alpha to get to this point

Yeah I remember myself doing exactly the same thing some time ago, just a short burst in various directions to see which brought me closer. I wasn't exactly doing SSTOs back then.

my nodes screw up and bring me off my encounter so thats how its done lol

the wings and 4 of the engines didnt like the idea of an eternal desert for a few years i guess, decided to go to ike instead
