Welcome to the game, @Route_Mun!

Screenshots first, as they are most helpful in these cases. In the folder where your KSP game is installed (this might or might not be "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Kerbal Space Program" you will find a folder named screenshots, and every time you press F1 KSP will place a screenshot in there. Press F2 to hide/unhide additional screen "fluff" like the Kerbal headshots, navball, etc. You can then surf to imgur.com and upload your image there (no account required) and paste it in here.

Second, nuclear engines do require propellant, and liquid fuel is used for that. Based on your description it seems like you have no liquid fuel with you, or it's all used up. Or you have it on your ship but there's something between the liquid fuel tanks and the engines that doesn't transfer fuel through. That can be bypassed with a fuel hose but that really doesn't help you when you're in Eve orbit... :)

Welcome to the forums.Read this post about what happened,

From the sound of it that's not the OP's issue. Two engines on a bicoupler with tanks above the single node should work fine.

A pic of the vessel would be most helpful for further diagnosis.

here it is. i already solved the problem, but it is a pretty cool lander, maybe you can get some inspiration. 2 yellow fuel pipes directly to the engines.

Yes, the screenshot makes it clear.  Radially attached fuel tanks don't have "connectivity" to the center, so you needed the fuel lines to feed the nuke engine.

Note that you've got the wrong kind of tank on there.  You have LFO tanks (liquid fuel + oxidizer).  Nuclear engines use liquid fuel only (no oxidizer).  This means that, first, you're carrying around a lot of dead weight (i.e. oxidizer you don't need), and you're carrying a lot less fuel than you could be (the tanks waste a lot of space for oxidizer that could be full of liquid fuel).

Instead of using the two-ton LFO tanks, use the two-ton LF-only tanks (the ones that contain only liquid fuel, no oxidizer).  You'll have a lot more dV to play with.
