How do I (easily) make a planet?

Hey community. I've seen plenty of tutorials on how to make a planet in 1.0.5, but I don't understand them one bit! Planetfactory is outdated and i can't find a download link, so I need an easy way to make a planet. I have notepad++, and I have some experience in editing text files, but I don't know where to put what!

I'm using kopernicus master for those interested.

 

Final note: please don't just link a tutorial, please make sure there's something relatively easy with in depth guidance, thanks

Kopernicus is pretty much the go-to mod these days for making a planet.  Perhaps worth asking about this over on the Kopernicus thread?  It's a fairly specialized-to-Kopernicus set of skills.
