How does the science in RO differ from stock science points? Do you unlock parts with the points, with time or by performing experiments associated with them?

Generally with RP-0 you're playing with KCT which means that science doesn't automatically unlock, it takes time, and science points like stock.  Same with building and launching, takes time to build and then roll out a new launcher.  I'm not a fan of the double time-warp build/rollout myself, but having to take build and research time into account is pretty cool (yes, I have changed my mind on that).

I'm pretty sure Scott has used most mods at some point, even Burgertime and banana for scale
