Shuttles that never flew

Hi guys,

I just put together a short video in what is probably going to be the first in a short series exploring some of the shuttle designs that never made off the drawing board. The first part is online now where I look at the proposed Lockeed Starclipper from the late 1960s.

The Shuttles that Never Flew, Part 1

Cool video series.   With that second shuttle,  vertical surfaces ahead of your centre of gravity are going to amplify yaw deviations which is the opposite of what the vertical stabilizer at the back of the plane is trying to do.    Either got to make the ones at the back much bigger or just delete the front ones.

You know, i reckon an XL parachute on the nose cone would provide all the crew safety you'll ever need.   An entire shuttle coming down on that will fall quick but you've seen what kind of an impact the crew can survive if it lands tail first :-)

ps - love the Venture Star !
