Bugs For Days :(

Why hello there, fellow KSP player! I recently bought KSP and it's so buggy. I tried getting help on steam, but it didn't help. So...

The bugs are:

Missing textures on mun

Missing textures in VAB and the hangar. The walls are invisible :/ The floor tends to become transparent some times too...

I crash all the time, even though my computer should be able to run it.

When in loading screen, it freezes..

Soooo... Anyone who knows why this is happening? I was told, that it was an installation error, so i reinstalled it. That worked for 5min. and then the bugs returned.

Can you give us your computer specs?

CPU/GPU/Operating system/ etc...

A dxdiag would be even better. Hit "windows key" + R, then type dxdiag in the field, when the info box pops up click the button that says "save all info", take that text file, open it, then copy paste the text here.

As you may see, my computer is literally a potatobattery with some parts shoved into it... But it should still be able to run ksp :/

Hmm...I don't see a graphics card, not even an integrated one?

If that's the case you may have slightly better luck running KSP in opengl mode.

Since you are on Steam, right-click Kerbal Space Program in your Library, click "Set launch options" and put in "-force-opengl" without the quotes.

AMD Phenom processor

Phenom CPU's can still crash even with all fixes in this thread applied, this is due to the Phenom's Turbo Core technology which can cause instability in KSP. You can disable Turbo Core in two ways:

 

• Add the following line to the target box of a shortcut after KSP.exe: "-force-gfx-st" (without the quotes)
• Disable it in the Bios / UEFI
