cant update

Hey ive had ksp for a while on steam. a couple months ago my account was hacked we nearly got charged $400 in false game purchases but we canceled the card. The person had also changed the password without me knowing so i could no longer access the account and there for lost steam. i tried to contact valve for a while but apparently they dont read there emails. So i pulled the ksp files from my steam commons folder. The only problem is that the launcher used to update the game doesn't update the game so im stuck in 0.90. is there a way i can get this fixed?

As this has been mentioned on IRC, unfortunately, there's really nothing that can be done about this. Unless you can provide a direct proof of purchase (steam account log, confirmation e-mail, etc), it's not gonna be possible for Squad to do anything about it. Steam account problems are entirely in Valve's hands, there's not much anyone can do there.

A friend of mine manage to get his account back after some similar situation like yourself. Have you read their Steam info about how to recover your account? [Recovering a Stolen or Hijacked Steam Account] (another link explaining the process).
If you create a ticket of sorts... they take a long time to reply (based on my mate's comment).
