Really amazes me what people do with KSP. 

Next step recreate the diesel room of Red Dwarf (hey you're up to 1885 so a diesel engine is being researched right ? ).

Now for the serious requests:

1.  Water fueled engine (not hydrogen).

2. Perpetual motion machine,

3. Well it's not a good year if you don't do 3 impossible things.

We used to call water-fueled engines steam engines back in the day.  You see, you boil a big bunch o' water, doesn't much matter how ya do it, and it makes this gas, we called it steam.  Used to use wood or coal or oil to boil the water, but you could probably do so with the world's largest electric kettle.

The water is heated with water?  I.e. steam is not the fuel.  Also I don't want the water broken down into H and O2.  Now a steam engine would actually be an interesting thing to have though, all sorts of fun possibilites.  But I think we better let the OP get his IC engine perfected first :).
