code99
^ Title. Fairly modded game and a decent gaming machine. Im getting 9 fps in KSC and on the launchpad. In other areas within the KSC im getting 100+ fps. I havent launched a rocket yet but i doubt things would be different. Mods: KSP 1.1 installed through steam. Rig: i7 4790 R9 290 4 GB 512bit Asus Maximus Ranger motherboard 16 GB DDR3 RAM 1080p monitor Game installed on Corsair Force GT SSD Messing around with in-game settings makes no difference. Ideas? Padishar
I would suggest putting a simple vessel on the launchpad and look up at the sky. If this significantly improves the fps then your machine is having issues with the water rendering. However, I wouldn't expect a machine of that spec to have a problem rendering the water unless there is something serious wrong with the video drivers or settings. As for other possible causes, you would need to supply an output_log.txt file from a short run of the game where you just switch through a few different scenes noting the fps in each one (in the KSP_x64_Data folder assuming, with that many mods, you are running the 64bit version) and a DxDiag report (see the sticky thread in this sub-forum for instructions on making one of those). Please don't include these files directly in a post (not even in a spoiler) as they will be very large. Upload them to a file sharing service (preferably zip them up together) and post a link to the file...
code99
Quick update. I've disabled all mods and suddenly im getting 120+ fps in all scenes ... obviously there is something wrong with one (or more) of my mods. Its gonna be a pain to figure out which one ... The log file I mentioned may well clearly indicate which mod is the cause (e.g. a large amount of error messages being spammed).

Padishar
You have the following spamming almost continuously through the whole log: NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at AGroupOnStage.Main.AGOSDebug.Update () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 The plugin concerned is in the iPeer folder, something to do with action groups and staging. flatmush
I had this issue, there are so many random errors in the logs that they're not too informative. It turned out for me that EveBiomes was causing ContractConfigurator to go crazy during its biome scan and I was getting almost no FPS. Doing a clean install without adding it worked. It seems when you install stuff with CKAN, removal is never clean and just messes up your game, so you pretty much have to re-install without the problem mods. Tarsier Space Tech also had lots of Null references so I removed it, but it didn't affect the FPS issue afaik.

Yes I've also noticed this. It also often gives me 404 errors when trying to download mods. I just decided to stop using CKAN all toghether and instead install what i want manually. I've spent the last day trying to make mods work when downloaded via CKAN, decided i had enough. My fps issues got solved by removing the iPeer folder (cant recall what mod it was) Edited April 23, 2016 by code99
iPeer
I'm looking in to this issue right now.
iPeer
A patch has been deployed that should hopefully fix this issue. If it doesn't, let me know.
