Best way to save DV? Dres to Jool/Pol

Got a Ore collector landed at Dres totally refuelled. 

What is the best way to save Delta-V to enter Jool from Dres?  Is it better to match inclination to Jool once outside Dres gravity well? Or should I just stay in Dres orbit and burn to Jool and then correct inclination at jool gravity well?  Want to land at Pol.

That entirely depends on your Dres->Jool transfer window. It's generally cheaper to combine an inclination change with your departure burn, but depending on how the orbits are aligned, you might not be able to do that.

I'd say that you should burn into the inclination needed from the surface.  You might also want to use Eve and/or kerbin for a gravity assist to save even more DV.

I'd recommend you transfer windows planner. Not sure if it works in 1.1, but worked in 1.05 really good

Cheap transfer window are pretty rare. The sooner is at Year 43 Day 365, and should cost ~470 m/s. However, I tried it and no matter what I put in my Prograde and Normal components, I always end up in a very inclined orbit (almost polar). And no mid-course correction seems to be able to correct that.

I guess that your only option is to launch directly in an inclined orbit.

Clearly, no. Going to Kerbin is more expensive than getting to Jool.
