It's amazing what the mind can do....

So I\'m playing KSP right now. I usually test my new spacecraft on a sub orbital trajectory and just get a shake down of all the systems, staging etc. That way, the flight\'s over fast and I know what I need to fix. Anyway...

At B.E.C.O. (Booster Engine Cut Off), I saw the G-meter drop to zero and I got to thinking. I imagined what it was like to be suddenly on a ballistic course and feeling totally weightless. I\'ve felt weightlessness for real before, but there\'s just something special about it being in space I guess.

Anyway, a few seconds after I started thinking about this, I suddenly felt as though my entire body had actually went into zero-G. My arms, now off to the side of the desk floated up in front of my face as though there was no gravity. As soon as I realized it, I suddenly became aware of the 1G and my arms fell back down. It\'s just really amazing how the brain can do things like that to you.

If the processing power of the average computer was equal to a normal house, the processing power of your brain would be equal to a skyscraper, with its base as large as an entire city and stretching all the way to the moon. Just thought I\'d let you know.

That\'s because our sensory cells are in HD. How many 64 Exapixel monitors do you see? Anyway, we can\'t manually optimise our brains, but we can do so with our computers. Imagine if the chunk of your brain that controls your legs became the math part of your brain?

Wow.

I heard once that the equivalent 'instruction/operation speed' of a human brain is about 10Hz... It\'s so powerful because its processing is hugely, massively, colossally parallel.

did you guys know that your brain produces enough electricity to power a light bulb? (and for people who don\'t think this is much, the wire in the lightbulb needs to be more than 1000 degrees to emit light).

That would support the idea that human spontaneous combustion is believable. Seem far fetched? There have been cases of mysterious human combustions. Imagined all of that electricity coupled with the methane and other flammable gasses in our body... If something gets crossed up.....

Well. One amazing thing our brain might be able to do is blow us up!
