Hi,

I found two bugs so far in KSP 1.1.1 unmodded (both 32 and 64 bits clients):

1) When I have a ship sitting on a RE-I5 skipper on the launch pad (for example a cockpit, two X200-32 and a RE-I5) with engine and SAS off, it starts wobbling more and more until it crash on the side.

2) Sometimes, in the upper atmosphere my SAS will go crazy (at around 40 000 m, 1000 m/s). It is difficult to reproduce, I will update my post if I find the cause.

Edit: I could not isolate #2. I'm not sure if it is a bug. When a rocket can bend just enough, the SAS will overuse the engine's gimbals.

Thanks,

Felix Nicol

I've just noticed what seem to be small phantom forces, possibly related to RCS use:

  • After doing an engine burn for orbital rendezvous, I use RCS to make small adjustments to the closest approach markers.  This time, after getting it to 0.1km and turning RCS off, I noticed my orbit shrinking slightly, as if I was decelerating, even though throttle was at zero, RCS was off, and I wasn't touching any keys.  I turned RCS on again and tapped 'H' to correct it, and after turning RCS back off, my orbit expanded slightly as if I were continuing to accelerate.  It took a few more back-and-forth corrections to get my orbit to stay aligned to my target's.
  • During docking approach after the aforementioned rendezvous, I was moving slowly downward toward the target docking port, then suddenly noticed that I was moving slowly upward instead.  Tapped 'I' to get myself moving downward again.  A few seconds later, looking at the navball, I saw my prograde marker drift to the left even though I wasn't pressing any keys and my ship wasn't bumping into anything (nor was it in range to get pulled in by the docking port).

This is with a little 3.6-ton, 44-part lander that I've been using without problems for months.  The first time I've seen this happen is just after the 1.1.1 upgrade.

(Full disclosure:  I had KER, Precise Node, and Asteroid Day installed when I observed the above, but I restarted the game without them and was able to reproduce the orbit drifting with no mods installed.  The orbital speed displayed above the navball was actually increasing, by 0.1m/s roughly every ten seconds or so.)
