Black screen after clean install

Hi Everyone 

Just installed 1.1.1 a clean install and I'm getting a black screen when i should be seeing the space center from a distance , you can see the buttons on the sides of the screen and time warp button. but screen is all black apart from that.

The screen also is black in the VAB until you select a part, then the VAB comes back if you keep your mouse on the vessel in the VAB. Moving the camera around will also cause it to go black.

The issue randomly occurs also during flight when you look around and the mouse isn't on the vessel.

did the same in 1.1 and after the update, seems strange as never had a bug in KSP before that was this bad.

Any ideas on how to fix this ??
