Can you adjust the science slider mid game?

Is it possible to change the science % slider mid game?

I found this in the career.sfs file:

        CAREER
        {
            TechTreeUrl = GameData/Squad/Resources/TechTree.cfg
            StartingFunds = 25000
            StartingScience = 0
            StartingReputation = 0
            FundsGainMultiplier = 1
            RepGainMultiplier = 1
            ScienceGainMultiplier = 1
            FundsLossMultiplier = 1
            RepLossMultiplier = 1
            RepLossDeclined = 1

I assume science gain multiplier is the slider you're talking about? I'd wager changing that value in notepad would solve your problem, but I can't guarantee anything. Hopefully someone who has done this before will chime in!
