New way to get kerbalnauts

I whas thinking about Kerbin , it is almost a lifeless planet except for the KSC and the few anomaly's and airstrip island .
Soo i whas thinking about this idea : maybe make some Towns with a few building and a airstrip on diffrent locations all over Kerbin .
So instead of buying/hire new Kerbalnauts at the KSC there will be missions that you can pick them up at those towns .
And maybe make it like so how further away how cheaper they are ? of course still need to pay for them. (their training and what not hehe )
But i think this idea will give the player some more things to do with regular airplanes on Kerbin itself, and the towns will give Kerbin a bit more life :)

I don't like this idea.  I am no realism n*azi but I like having realistic kerbal mechanics.  I should have to pay reimbursement to a kerbals family when I kill him.  I should not hire kerbals by having to reach him.  

Ps, if squad added the ability for mods to let me decide whether or not to give my kerbals health care, keep them happy with raises to keep them from quiting.  I would play the s**t out of that mod.  Because In my job I don't get to do that.

I love to build airplanes.  I would rather have to deliver x to y airstrip contracts

Yeah maybe that is better instead of my idea , But my point of the idea whas to give kerbin more '' life '' .
It does not matter for me in what for form it comes (towns , city's etc.) I just find Kerbin almost just as lifeless as the Duna or Eve . :P
A bit sad if you ask me haha

didn't I read somewhere that Kerbals originate in hatcheries or clone facilities underground?

anyway, one thing is certain, I'd like to see the quest/business side of the game get a overhaul.

You simply remember reading either somebodies roleplay justification, or the fact that certain parts of the dev team personally like to belive this.

For me it is that they have cities.  However, because of the clumsiness of kerbals due to the massive head , the undersized body, meaning that lots of stairs are a no-go normally, the cities are very short and therefore spread out.  I just pretend that I can see them.  I put a bunch of shapes on a map of kerbin to show where spent stages can't go.

It would be even nice enough for me if they only had like under ground bunker entrances so kerbals '' live underground ''  and have like air strip of some sorts next to it where goods , parts or anything has to be delivered for missions or something .
Maybe add a few buildings next to airstrip / bunker entrance and it would even make a bit sense when some one sees it .
with this idea they don't have to build large city's and they can just say they live underground .
Then just 4 - 6 different settlements for example : one in the desert , south pole, northpole , next to KSC and i think there will be enough other nice places maybe at the Abandoned space center ?
