Bio Space Program

Herro! Welcome to BSP\'s space program Spacecraft Exchange thread! Here is where I post my space craft, and stuff. So here they are!

NOTE these are all stock.

EDIT: Due to incompatibility w/ .16, all of the ones from .15- have been taken off.

Sub-orbital

None

Orbital

Humana III (EVA) Not the best, better for suborbital flight, but orbital capable none the less.

Corribus Mun Lander, Comes w/ lander only, due to the inability to make a rocket for it.

Corribus Rescue Lander, same thing with above. Requires Crew Tank mod.

Hey mate, if im not mistaking these are your 1st generation rockets..

I muss say im surprised how well they performed.. i was expecting ICBMs..

Im no where near a good rocket engineer, but here are some quick tips..

- RCS thrusters work all over the ship there\'s no need to connect the tanks with Fuel lines..

- Struts should be placed after every 3rd or 2nd tank.. else they are just dead wight..

- The most effective way is to have max 3 tanks stacked on top of any engine..

- Use fuel lines to conserve fuel and easily drop tanks..( Humana-III )

Optional:

- TurboJet engines are light have minimal consumption and high thrust, work really well for 1st stage boosters...

Hope it helps you.. :P

Shameless Self promotion..

Yeah, these are from pretty early, Venus III is my best Suborbital rocket, Humana-III was a design type That came to me, and, well, XJP-III, is my second successful space plane, and you could make a Collage to the tune of Blue Danube of my failed planes....

Thanks for the feedback and tips!

If I\'m right, and that that little spacecraft in the first screenshot is the suborbital rocket, I have a fix that could probably make it orbital. There\'s a technique called daisy-chaining, or asparagus-stalk boosting, in which the outboard fuel tanks have fuel tanks running to the inner tanks*. This has the effect of keeping the inner tanks full; giving you a fully-fuelled rocket once you decouple an empty stage, instead of a rocket with half-empty fuel tanks. It does wonders for efficiency.

[ Payload ]

* - Like this. [full stage]<=[full stage]<= [half full stage]
