Purchasing a Gift Copy

If by chance someone wished to purchase the game for a friend, how would they go about doing this? Anything specific that needs to be done? I have yet to purchase the full version of KSP but when I get the chance I am going to buy it and when that happens it may have to be purchased by a friend of mine for me. How would we go about working this out? Is there a license?

This is how one can gift KSP currently.

Just create an account for the giftee and make the purchase. Clear any information you don\'t want to share after before giving to the giftee.

Thanks for confirming that it is allowed. What about Account Sharing? Say we want to split the cost right now and both pay 50/50 or some other percentage. Are we allowed to joint own the account or no?

As long as you don\'t have two copies running on two computers. There\'s nothing stopping you from allowing your friend to sit at your PC and play.

I really hope that they add in a gift copy soon. You buy it and it sends an email to your friend telling them to register and then they have a copy waiting on them. I would really like to gift this to a few friends but honestly I am not going to set up accounts for them or give them access to my account.

Squad have been looking into alternative payment methods for some time now, as PayPal is a problem for many, when they finally get something sorted out they may well add a proper gifting system, it's not high priority right now though.
