landing on the mun

playing with plugins

trying to make jeb frown. good luck

Hehe, I\'ve noticed Jeb doesn\'t frown. Can I use the MechJeb on the Demo version? If so where do I put the \'Plugin\' folder?

You cannot use plugins in the demo version. But while you\'re waiting, i suggest you try to do an orbital rendezvous. That will keep you occupied.

You can only have 1 ship at a time in the demo. I suggest trying to land on the Mun the old way using winglets before moving on to landing legs in the new version.

I\'m trying to figure out how to get to the Mun, that\'ll be a step to actually LAND on it. LOL!

If you purchased it. you can download 0.15.2 at the store

No, it isn\'t showing up in my account and I didn\'t get a link. I have to wait for them to fix something. It\'s depressing. My friend purchased it without a problem, I purchased it 10 minutes later and it didn\'t work for me, lol.

Before landing on the Mun, go for a Free Return Trajectory. That is where once you have established your Munar Injection from Kerbin, you do absolutely nothing else. If you established the right course, you will swing around the Mun, and come back to Kerbin in line for a landing. Even with the independent SOI system, it is still possible and can be fun seeing how well you can nail the return trip.

As for actually getting to the Mun, during launch establish a easterly orbit (90 degrees on your Navball), and make one orbit. You want your rocket pointing directly at the horizon on your Navball when the Mun first shows itself upon the horizon. As soon as said Mun shows itself, begin your burn and continue until the orbit is just past Munar Orbit on your map. If you get it at just the right distance past the orbit, then a Free Return Trajectory is yours. If not, then you will either swing back into a full Kerbin orbit, or be slingshotted into Kerbol orbit.

To establish Munar orbit, you just wait until you are in the Mun\'s SOI, and then do a retrograde burn until orbit is established (around 400-500 m/s depending on your altitude above the Mun). Will leave landing up to you.

There are plenty of other ways for TMI(Trans-Munar Injection), so that can be other things to keep you occupied. Have fun!

Will leave landing up to you.

I cheated and used the Auto Pilot with the CSS and I landed on the Moon, quite hysterically actually. This is how I landed on the moon using the Auto Land.

Make sure you\'ve contacted Support from the main page. We can\'t do anything about it here on the forums.

Cheers!

Yeah, I had already contacted Support and was awaiting a response, so I was looking for something to do. They got back to me and I have been messing around with it for a bit, as you saw in the whole.. landing on the moon thing.. I currently have a Shuttle orbiting the Mun.
