Copy/paste Help!

i press ALT and left click at the same time wont let me drag out the copy. (WINDOWS 10 KSP 1.1.2)

Can you be a little more specific?  What exactly are you trying to copy?

I assume this is for cloning parts in the VAB?

If you're talking about copying parts in the VAB, what exact sequence of operations are you doing?  It should go like this:

1. Press and hold the ALT key.
2. While holding it down, then click the mouse on the part (or tree of parts) that you want to copy.
   • Note, that's click, not "drag".  Don't try to "drag" the parts out.  Just click and release the mouse button.  It'll create a cloned copy that's attached to your mouse cursor.
3. You can now let go of the ALT key and move the cloned parts where you want.

Does that not work?
