"Better than any landing!" - Bob Kerman

"Addictive and challenging!" -Bill Kerman

"WOOOOOOOOOOO!" -Jebediah and Valentina Kerman

Backstory:

Spoiler

Many years after the beginning of the Kerbal Space program. The Kerbals had explored and gone to every edge of their solar system, but as time went on... the Kerbals felt bored. They yearned for something new to fill their lives. Then one day a Kerbal by the name of Scott "Super Tramp" Kerman decided he wanted to find what the true meaning of Kerbal was. So he got into the vehicle he found and began his journey searching. However, shortly after leaving the Space Plane Hanger, he was killed as a failed rocket launch collided into his vehicle. A Kerbal bystander, Vox Kerman, happened to see the event then got the idea for a fantastic new sport, called DeadZone. So he quickly pulled together a cheap box of paper and glue and rapidly made one of the most successful sports on Kerbin. He is now the most wealthy Kerbal ever to live.

Note, DeadZone is not an RP, it simply has some backstory for immersion, and also because frankly I felt like writing one.

Match Mechanics:

Tier System

All users will be tiered up and will go through a 1v1 against another user's creations. Whose ever is the last craft still operating will be declared the winner. There are no stalemates, so should both players be rendered unable to fight then they will repeat the fight. Should another stalemate be made, then the player with more remaining connected parts is declared the winner. The loser's vehicle is smashed. If a player loses normally, then the parts from their vehicle is collected and they can choose to keep the parts and reuse them or sell them for cash. The victor will win cash after each completed fight. They can use this to repair their vehicle or add to it. The losers can participate in a round 2 for those who have enough of a surviving craft. Should the loser end up in total obliteration they cannot recover.

Pre/Post-Combat Rules

Before a competition begins, the players can choose to use their cash to build they're craft. After each battle the victor will receive a select amount of cash which they can use to repair their vehicle and or add to it. Players who are found to add more parts than allowed will result in their vehicle being detonated and losing the competition. The losers of each match is given a 5% compensation prize along with whatever parts of their vehicle is left at the battle which can be sold or reused.

Combat System

Players will be given a specific spot to begin, and make their way towards the enemy player. Players are given a 10 second period to move from their location any place they like and no combat is permitted in this initial period. After the 10 period, players may begin their attack. Players may not leave the designated combat area they are within. No glitches are to be exploited at any time. Should a player feel that a specific incident is questionable then they would contact the leader of the program. One player will run the battle through KSP, should one participants not be able to, then they can reach out and ask for assistance from leader.

Leagues

Primary League- This is where everyone starts. This is best for those who have no prior experience.

Secondary League- This is the league where those who lost battles but still had controllable parts can fight. This is not able to be joined.

Was this meant for Suggestions and Development Discussion? Seems like more of a challenge, moving.

This really has no real home under any subsection, I feel General is honestly best.

Question: does a player's vessel need to be able to move?  Or would one be able to build a "Tower of Doom" that just sits there and obliterates any hostile that gets too close?

Yes, movement is needed.
