How did my reputation go down?

My reputation used to be 99% but now it's 95%. Is there a way to determine the cause?

I think anytime the rep changes there's an entry in the log. That won't help you if it happened in a previous post session though.

If the top of my head, the following can give negative rep: vessel destruction, kerbal death, contact failures (specific ones), contact decline, building destruction, strategies.  Mods are also able to affect it, but don't have a specific example that isn't already included in the above list.

Thanks. I checked the astronaut complex and Sidnie Kerman was killed in action but it doesn't say when or how. Is there a way to find out what vessel he was on and where it was? I know: I'll search old save files for his name. It really ought to tell me when this happens though IMO.

Edit: Okay, I've found him on a collision course with Ike. I really think KSP should warn people of unfavourable encounters such as this. You would've thought Sidnie might call home and ask for guidance. Frankly he doesn't deserve it but I'm going to try to bring him back by copying and pasting his vessel into my current save and see what happens.

Edit2: I've brought the ship back and changed Sidnie from Dead to Assigned. I used Hyperedit to put him in some orbit around Duna.
