Transmitting/Recovering Science

Recommended Posts

Short answer: yes.

Slightly longer answer: any experiment result can only ever give you a certain amount of science points, whether you get all at once from returning it to Kerbin, or if you transmit some and then return the rest later.

Disclaimer: the following is just an example using numbers I pulled from the air.

So let's say a goo experiment from the Mun is worth 70 science points. You have two options. 1) Use a manned mission and get all 70 when you return the experiment results to Kerbin. 2) Transmit 25 points from an unmanned probe, and then use a manned mission later to get the other 45 points.

Either way, you can only ever get a max of 70 points for that experiment.
