Wow, that\'s cutting it close! I love these really minimal rockets (in part because I can get good framerates with them ;) ). Honestly I doubted it\'d make it but with a proper flight plan I made it safely back to land with one pixel of fuel left. A majority of the flight was on manual control which was exciting but tough...I\'d prefer a lazier trip.

Moreover, this is making me rethink what\'d be necessary for a Mun > Min leg on a grand tour. Perhaps it WOULD be possible without a massively laggy liftoff from KSC! ;D

This ship can do it:

Got into a Mun orbit, then went to minmus, then landed, then back to mun, landed, then to kerbin, and finally splashed down.

Aboard the Inter-Lunar I. Bill, Jeb and Bob are ready.

Launched into a 100K orbit, then transferred to the Mun.

Left the Munar orbit, and got into a Kerbin orbit,

The craft has enough fuel to select a landing site on both Minmus and the Mun. With better fuel management, one might be able to land back at the KSC, too.

Moreover, this is making me rethink what\'d be necessary for a Mun > Min leg on a grand tour.

- Video just got out of processing, you can see my preferred flight path to the Mun and back.. i make it home with 80l of fuel..

P.S. the Beryllium is out of date atm, i managed to make him smaller by 1m and lighter by 1.85t.. so the 'mini' rocket got smaller.. :P

An excellent design. I just wish that you didn\'t have to drop the turbojets with so much fuel left in them.

- You dont drop them until 13km (mach I) at the start of your gravity turn, one key component is that you connect the jet booster it with fuel lines to the center stack... This should solve your problem..
