X45 joy stick/is it possible

Hi guys newbie here took me 40 mins to dock in tutorial, all because I keep hitting wrong buttons, has any body used a joy stick (reality) for docking or is it not possible  my X45 has a programmable software,

I have no experience with your particular joystick, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. All the sicks I have tried so far worked perfect with KSP.

Just go ahead and try it!

In the Settings menu on the start screen of the game you will find a tab called Input, this is where you assign the individual commands to the buttons and axes.

I use an old logitech i use to use for mechwarrior, loadsa butt, works a treat cos I bind the hat buttons to rcs control.
