Duna/Ike Probeception

By request from the "What did you do in KSP today?" thread, here's my latest Duna/Ike probe(s):

The mission delivers a lander to Ike, a mapping satellite which will scan both Duna and Ike, and a communications satellite to support this and future missions.

I have included a de-modded version for people who don't use ScanSat or RemoteTech.   Either way, though, Ven's Stock Revamp will be required.  All three of the probes depend on some of Ven's parts and I can't easily replace them.

Here's an album of the full mission to Duna and landing on Ike:  http://imgur.com/a/qFpIX

The Poodle trans-stage handles LKO circularization and most of the Trans Dunar Injection (completely ejecting from Kerbin so no junk is left in the SOI).  The mapping satellite portion handles the last bit of the transfer injection and orbital capture at Duna.  Without ScanSat, though, the mapping satellite gets downgraded to just a propulsion stage.  And without RemoteTech, the comsat is pretty much worthless, so I don't know why you'd bother downloading the "demodded" version.  But, I know someone will ask for it...  :)

Nice build, and from what I saw in some of the patchnotes, aren't we getting a rather limited edition of RemoteTech fairly soon? So getting some communication satellites up will be useful, if not quite as much as having the full RT.

Looking carefully at the communication satellite, what the heck is side mounted from the solar arrays? The tiny little rings

Thanks!

Yeah, there is a kind of "RemoteTech Lite" getting integrated into the next KSP release.  So, comsat relays will become helpful for stock games.

The little round things on the side of the comsat are tiny radial-mount reaction wheels from Ven's Stock Revamp.  They're very weak, but give plenty of control over a lightweight probe.  If you look at the upper surface of the mapsat (where the lander was mounted), you'll also see one near each corner of the square platform.  The lander also has two on one end, below the dish antenna.
