Unable to right click on a probe core?

So I'm currently running a rather 'mod soup' installation, and I came across a small problem. After launching a probe-controlled rocket out of the atmosphere, I was unable to use any right-click menus on the probe core, or batteries, until I re-entered the atmosphere. Has anyone come across this before?

Sounds like that you were simply out of communication range of whatever antenna you had fitted. and therefore was unable to control the probe until communication was restored

Nah, I don't have antenna range or any mods that modify probe cores except unmanned start on the tech tree.

Upon further experimentation, I can right click on probe cores if I zoom the camera to the inside of the part, but still cannot right click the outside of the part unless inside the atmosphere.

Any thoughts?

Out of power?

Nope. Seems to be related to the placement of antennas, I mount mine flush to the rocket body, and it seems to screw with the part clicking.

Anyway, I'm deleting that installation because the game keeps crashing in the VAB and SPH. I guess I'll revert to vanilla until stability improves.

I have no idea how you people run modded installations, seems to cause no end of headaches for me.
