*M*A*S*H* Copter

Recommended Posts

I just felt like sharing this oldie. She's not fast or big, but she's reliable and agile. I've been using her since the advent of "thrust reversers" on the new aircraft engines, and in this case, the Wheesley. You have only one fuel tank, but with one engine generally on less than full throttle it can take you where you need to :) . It can carry 1 pilot (center seat) with two passengers on the arms. The passengers are protected from the wind by a windscreen in front of them. It should be noted that the craft does not have landing wheels but rather landing struts as do real helicopters, so it can take a greater beating than wheels normally would, but don't go smashing it into everything you see (unless that's intentional).

The idea behind this is from the TV show *M*A*S*H* where a lightweight helicopter would carry wounded troops to a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (hence the show's name) where they would receive medical attention. This type of vehicle would be an ambulance of sorts. I also posted a challenge using it a while back, you can go take a look at that challenge here.

Note: This REQUIRES Take Command to work on it's own, however there is a craft file for those who don't have Take Command.
