ISRU Conversion rate bug?

Hi fellas

Is this a bug? or am i reading all guides regarding Ore/Fuel conversion wrong?

From the Wiki, I understood that 1 unit ore equaled roughly 1 unit liquid fuel. In my game the conversion rate is nearer to 4 units of ore to 1 unit of fuel. It seems pretty inefficient to say the least. Then again, I might just be misunderstanding...

Can someone enlighten me as to what's "wrong" - citation marks added to imply it might just be me misunderstanding.

It could be because of the temperature of the ISRU.

Getting the optimal temperature will get the ISRU to run at maximum.

Also, do you have an engineer on-board? I heard that it speeds up the ISRU.

Are you using the 1.25m converters?  They're much less efficient and waste a lot of ore compared to the 2.5m versions.
