Contract did not complete

Dear Devs,

It seems that i got an impossible contract in 1.2 - "test LV-45 splashed down to Kerbin".

 

A safely landed  engine won't complete the contract, it's still marked by clock icon.

Let me guess about what has happened. Please keep in mind I am not a psychic. All I am about to say is pure speculation.

You launched a small craft powered by the required LV-T45. After a small hop you landed in the water near KSC and now the contract won't complete.

I am pretty sure the contract will say something like you need to activate the part in question through staging. But this needs to be done AFTER you have splashed down. NOT before. Once an engine has been activated through staging it can not be activated this way again. You can set an action group to reactivate it with the space-bar after you deactivated it but that won't count. You will need to figure out a way to splash down, THEN stage the engine.

I'm pretty sure you can - add an extra stage and drag it in.

@Tex_NL, @Fuzzra, thanks. You both were half right - there is a hidden condition of "you must splash into the sea". The condition is not shown in a contract panel nor anywhere in the game.

 

@sal_vager, as you can see, contract says "Kerbin", not Kerbin seas.

This contract can not be accomplished if you follow the instructions.

When attempting this contract are you:

(A) On Kerbin and:

(B) Your vessel state is splashed down and:

(C) You have an LV-T45 engine that has not yet been activated via the staging sequence?

What you have shown so far is not enough information, sorry, please upload the save file showing this issue.
