Ship overheating while idling at launch platform?

Recommended Posts

Well this is awkward, my ship is just destroying itself while "standing there" - quickly overheating and parts exploding all over the place, ultimately destroying the ship & launch pad with it. I've captured an image of it happening:

The eva was just me testing; btw this is in version 1.0.4 of ksp. It's also only with certain "heavy" crafts. It's also hard to "reproduce", and the heating only occurs slow. It seems also to have something to do with "decouplers" - the internal temperatures rise till the radial decouplers explode - especially in stage "2" above image.

Lettings physics.cfg be rebuild by ksp doesn't change a thing. (Btw it is kind of an important problem, since it also happens "in space", where I can't cool by just lifting off)

Still looking to find the logs, where are they located? (btw the game doesn't crash, so it keeps working).

EDIT: after testing some more this seems to "only" occur in vehicles with lots of parts - where the timer turns yellow or red. And so far it seems to also occur in stock (though way less often, I have to "jam" my machine limiting KSP of using only a part of the CPU so the timer goes in yellow).
