Section 1: Piracy

A user shall not: post a link to illegally hosted content.

A user shall not: create a post, or post in a topic any content that explains how to procure illegal software, or how to use illegal software to obtain illegal content.

A user shall not: post explaining how to use exploits to obtain illegal software or content.

A user shall not: give away accounts to Piracy websites.

A user shall not: ask how to obtain illegal software or content.

Section 1.1: Piracy Addendum

Any user directly speaking of obtaining KSP illegally shall obtain an immediate and permanent ban.

Section 2: Adult Content

A user shall not: post images that contain nudity of any variety.

A user shall not: post lewd images.

A user shall not: post images of Violence, or 'Gore'

A user shall not: post images of Illegal Drugs, nor post any content that contains discussion on Illegal Drugs.

Section 2 Addendum A: Adult Content in a user's forum profile.

A user shall not: Create a forum name/user name that is Vulgar.

A user shall not: Upload a Vulgar or Adult Image as his/her avatar.

Section 3: Spam

A user shall not: Post nonsense, incomprehensible comments, which appear to not just be jargon.

A user shall not: Create a Post containing no real content, such as '+1!' or other single word responses.

A user shall not: Post reaction images alone.

Section 3 Addendum: Reaction Images

Posting Reaction Images that cause a thread to derail, shall net the user that posted the image, an immediate revoke in posting rights. The length of the Revoke status shall be determined at the time of the infraction. This is not a permanent revoke.

Section 4: Libel, or Verbal Assault and Conflict

A user shall not: Make a topic admonishing, or harassing another user.

A user shall not: Use a thread to admonish, or harass a user.

A user shall not: Harass another user, outside of the forums.

A user shall not: Utilize private messaging to harass another user.

A user shall not: Use the wiki to harass or admonish another user.

Section 5: 'Trolling'

A user shall not: post, or create a topic designed to anger other users.

A user shall not: post to De-rail a topic.

A user shall not: post a comment purely for reaction.

Note: This includes signatures as well.

Section 6: Intolerance

A user shall not: Create a post or topic that has 'Racist' content.

A user shall not: Create a post or topic that has 'Sexist' content.

A user shall not: Openly create posts or topics that intolerantly criticize another persons belief system. Open discussion, and civil debate along with tolerant criticism are allowed.

Section 7: Punishment Evasion

A user shall not: Create a 'Sock Puppet' or Secondary account to avoid punishment from the Moderation Team or any other reason, doing so constitutes and immediate banning of the 'Sock Puppet' account.

A user shall not: Seek a name change in order to evade moderation team punishment. Doing so constitutes an immediate 24 hour ban.

Section 7 Addendum A: Disrespect

A user shall not: Openly disrespect a member of Squad Staff or the Moderation Team at any time. While we are open to Constructive feedback, and Constructive Criticism, open disrespect is not tolerated. If you have a genuine and legitimate issue with an action by a moderator, discuss it with them politely, and by Private Message. Do not discuss it on the forums. If the issue remain unresolved, escalate it up the chain of command.

Section 7 Addendum B: 'Impersonation'

A user shall not: At any time impersonate another user.

A user shall not: At any time impersonate a member of the Moderation Team.

A user shall not: At any time impersonate a member of Squad Staff.

Section 8: Miscellaneous Issues

A user shall not: 'Power Post' to gain post count. Doing so will not only net the user's posting status revoked, but will see the users post count reset to zero.

A user shall not: At any time advertise an off forum feature, service, or society- incentive does not matter.

A users Signature should be the appropriate size, limits below;

Signature limits:

No taller than 80 pixels, text+image included.

No greater than 750 pixels wide.

No larger than 200kb in total size.

Rules Addendum: 25APR2012 "User Privacy

Posting a private conversation in public with out the consent of BOTH users is strictly prohibited and punishable.

Rules Addendum: 16MAY2012 "Release Date"

Creating posts or threads that contain nothing but 'When is the next release coming?' is prohibited.

Rules Addendum: 25JUL2012 "Profanity"

Usage of profanity in posting is prohibited. Normally we'll let small amounts of the words damn and hell pass, but extreme profanity will net your posts deleted and net you a nice place on the moderation teams watch list. So keep it civil, and this does of course extend to IRC and the ShoutBox.

Rules Addendum: 05AUG2012 "Reputation and Thread Rating Systems Abuse"

Begging for Reputation gains, or otherwise abusing the reputation system is prohibited and will be punished.

Abuse of the thread rating system, and or begging for a thread rating is prohibited and will be punished.

Rules Addendum: 12th August 2012 "Add-on's and Licensing"

A "Work" is defined in two parts,

Part One: An original work of code, texture, or modeling.

Part Two: A derived work of code, texture, or modeling.

In the case of Part One, a license must accompany the work as well as the Source Code, in both the forum post and in the download file.

In the case of Part Two, the above Part One definition is held in the same. Any works that are derived MUST at all times attribute the original work, and MUST abide that works License. Failure to do so will see removal of the offending derived work, as well as possible punitive action against the user who failed to follow these definitions.

Rules Addendum: 13AUG2012 "Public Discussion of Moderation Decisions"

We do not allow public discussion of Forum Policy, or Moderation Decisions. If you have an issue with a Moderator or a Moderation Decision, please PM the Moderator in question. If a PM is not possible, or you can't contact the mod in question please escalate the issue to the next highest ranking moderator.

Squad and the Forum Staff reserves the right to change the rules at any time with out notice.
