Stuck on loading screen (v1.2.2)

Recommended Posts

Hello, yes, I'm new here, and that is why you have not seen me before today.

I'm having an issue where the game gets stuck on the loading screen at the point "GameData/RemoteTech/Parts/GigaDish1/part/RTGigaDish1", but the game isn't frozen.

I'm using ModuleManager 2.7.5, if that helps.

The mods I'm running are RemoteTech 1.8.3 and JX2Antenna 1.0 (both acquired from SpaceDock).

I installed KSP through Steam, and have run every fix I could find. My OS is Windows 8.1

So, when you say "isn't frozen" in the same sentence as "stuck on the loading screen"... can you be a little more specific what you mean by that?  My guess is:  it really is pretty much frozen, but you continue to see the witty loading tips cycling through various messages.  Is that the case?

If that's the case, then this is common behavior when something is causing errors during the loading process.  If you look inside your KSP directory, you'll see a log file.  Try opening that in a text editor, and scroll to the end of the file-- do you see any errors listed there?  If so, what are they?

Have you tried running with just one mod installed and then the other, and see whether the problem persists?  That would help narrow down the problem:  for example, is it caused by RemoteTech, or by JX2Antenna, or by some interaction between the two.
