Rally mission

[Some Kerbal]

I have a mission to do a flyby of Mun, Minmus, Eve and Duna. If I dock this vessel during the run for refuel is it going to reset the vessel's created date and mess with the mission completion? If so, then I need to rethink my mission plan.

When you dock the two spacecraft, the mission clock will switch to one spacecraft. However, once the two spacecraft are undocked, the original MET clock for both spacecraft will be restored to its original state.

I'm not sure LetsGoToMars' answer was quite correct. Did the contract specify that the vessel had to be new? Because when you dock, it does reset the creation date of the newer ship to match the older ship, and it does not ever get set back. So to maintain "new" status, all the ships you dock to have to be new also. Which means that your refueling tanker will have to be new also -- and that ship can't have docked with anything before either.

Well then....not so perfect. And the ship has already been launched, and docked to refuel. 

Going to have to rethink this.

Focus the ship and look at the contract in the contract app popup. Did the checkmark disappear for "make a new ship to do all these things"?
