Putting 1.04 parts into a 1.00 install?

As the topic title says, I'm trying to put engine parts from a later version of ksp into my 1.0 install.

When I simply copy and paste a part from one version to another, ksp 1.0 refuses to load.

Is there some way of accomplishing this? I do not wish to upgrade to 1.2 for various reasons, but wouldn't mind things like the vector engines from 1.0x

@DunaRocketeer,the parts should be fine,as far as .cfg structure goes(you need to respect the specific path of the part),because there were no major difference from 1.0 to 1.0.5.I can't remember correctly,but i think you would need to convert .dds textures to .png.
On another note,why you don't use 1.0.5,or you use 0.90?

Hmm, can't remember why I never upgraded to 1.05 maybe there was a persistent and annoying bug in those versions?
