do you have any maintained stations in sun's orbit?

The thing about Cyclers is that they don't actually save any fuel (if anything, it takes more) because of the fuel required to match orbits and dock. The only benefit they give is a large habitat space for the interplanetary trip, stocked with snacks, radiation protection, and entertainment enough for two years. Not that they're not cool, though.

Generally most of my 'Station in orbit of Kerbol' missions are completed by training missions that only spend a few minutes outside of the Kerbin SOI.(The rest are taken care of by interplanetary missions)

Without a gravity-assist to help with matching the orbit of the station, you would either need the station to produce/maintain some very perishable resource that could not be produced/stored on a normal vessel, or you would need it to be harvesting something worth all the extra effort(like a low Kerbol orbit station collecting anti-matter for the warp-drive mod)

They don't save dV, because it is slightly out of your way, but they do save lots and lots of fuel.

If you imagine editing Gilly into a cycler orbit, for example, it would take a few hundred dV to rendezvous with it.  And then your Duna tourists get to enjoy free oxygen from the forestry biodomes, 5 star restaurant meals, palatial bedrooms and an 18 hole golf course (padded putters only) during the long boring part of the trip.

Including those amenities on a direct flight to Duna would technically save dV, but increase the fuel costs by a few billion units.

Thanks...yeah, I thought you'd save fuel because most of your DV expenditures will be for relatively light passenger and resupply shuttles. The big, heavy cycler only needs course corrections

That's the main difference between fuel and dV. It's more efficient to use a cycler for long voyages, though the dV expenditures are actually greater.
