You Only Go Around Once

Fastest Lap of Kerbin Wins!

Rules:

1. Stock Parts
2. Normal Difficulty
3. No Gameplay Mods
4. No Cheating
5. One complete, equatorial lap of Kerbin
6. Runway/Rolling Takeoff
7. Landing on KSC Runway (or close to it. The craft may slide off the runway so long as it touches it once)
8. Must have at least 1 Kerbal.
9. Pilot Must Survive! Craft does not.
10. Time based on mission time.  Clock stops when craft stops.
11. No limits to stages, fuels, altitude, mass, cost; but these will be noted.

Submission:

1. Video is preferred; Imgur album is acceptable.
2. Show SPH with vehicle mass, cost, etc.
3. Show resources tab during flight. 
4. Show Flight Results (F3).
5. Albums must show key moments.

Whee, a rocket race! Races are awfully popular lately. (That's not a bad thing.)

Is mechjeb autopilot a gameplay mod? Is quickloading OK (F3 screen gets messed up)? (Neither were used in this attempt.)

I managed to do it in 24:52 for a first attempt (after ~37 tries). It can definitely be done better though.

I applaud this performance. Of course it can be done better - but I think a lot of us would struggle to get close.

There's already a challenge like this, called the Kerbin Circumnavigator challenge.

Nope. This is fundamentally different since this one allows using rocket engines and the one you linked only allows airbreathers...

Agreed, very similar.  However, this also applies no limit on altitude which makes it partially a SSTO race.

Great Job! Should be a tough time to beat. Going west is genius.

I don't consider autopilot a gameplay mod, but I think it should be noted.

Quickloading is a no-go. It's a relatively short challenge and there's something elegant about doing it in a single shot.  Plus, an accurate and complete F3 screen is a nice bookend to the Engineer's Report from the SPH.

Can there be three categories - rocket, plane, and rover? I'm decent with rockets but planes are a much bigger challenge (and one that I'm totally up for!)
