game crashing

Recommended Posts

ok first off, hello i am new to the forum, so i have a issue with my game, my game has been working just fine for the last 5 days and now ive tried to play several times today and i keep getting a crash error . i have validated the viles through steam several times and all the files are good, but the message i get is... the game crashed. the crash report folder named "2017-01-17_141030"next to the game executable. it would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!... anyone have any ideas to fix it

You'd also have to make it public so others can download it, but yes that should work.

Well it's a heavily modded install @DesuVindictus, modded support is the other subforum :)

The crash report says you're running the 32bit version and you are running out of memory, 32bit applications can't use more than about 3.5gigs on most versions of Windows.

You'll have to try fewer mods or right click KSP in Steam and run the 64bit version, that's if you are using a 64bit operating system on a 64bit cpu, and it looks like you are as I see an AMD64 driver for your graphics card.

Running KSP 64bit will allow KSP to use more of your RAM.

Hope this helps, and I'll pop this over to modded support.

If you get further problems you might want to consider disabling RivaTuner, especially if your issue began after installing it or after it updated, as programs like RivaTuner will mess about with your computers memory while KSP is running, and can cause KSP to crash.

ok that was indeed the issue. i went into the setting in the launcher and set it to run in 64bit and the game actually loaded faster then it normally does. once again i thank you very much . i was starting to go crazy because i love this game some much. i have 140+ games on steal alone and i play KSP 9/10 times
