Is there any way to see my orbit inclination before entering a body SOI?

Recommended Posts

Hello!

The title says it all more or less... i am looking for a way to see at which inclination I will approach a body before entering its SOI. Mechjeb or KER give me this info only after I enter the SOI of a body. This is a bit tedious when it comes to plan missions with gravity assist. I am looking for a tool like TransX for Orbiter here in this video (right side display, I can see all the information about the target body approach). Thanks in advance!

You can get a visual approximation, but not a hard number. Once you have an encounter trajectory, go to map view and focus the view on the target planet. That will show you your trajectory through it's SoI

Precise Node gives this info. I use it to plan insertion of scansats. I like polar orbits that fly a ground track orthogonal to the equator.

Thank you a lot! I will try it immediately :)

Edit: I found Precise Node but it doesn't give me the info about the inclination, I believe you meant Precise Maneuver, that is exactly what I was looking for.

Edit2: Nevermind, tried both precise node and maneuver but none gives this info. It looks like this fuction was implemented after 1.2 release while i'm still playing 1.1.3 with RSS RO and RP-0
