DOH! So close!

Well as a new member of the ksp community, I recently started watching videos. The hip thing to do was to land on the moon, so I thought 'Hey why not try to land on the DARK SIDE at 3 AM! ???'. Clearly it was the wrong choice. I just could not see anything on the dark side and crashed. VIOLENTLY. BUT I wasn\'t completely stupid and did snap a few pics! =P It\'s kind of funny because the first time I get a moon orbit is with Jeb!

UPDATE:

As it turns out I managed to make my quicksave work, so now I\'ll be able to keep trying at it. I will post pictures when I manage to land. (It wont be tonight though, I\'m pooped!)

Hi Jeb!

Did you run out of fuel or something?

Also, take screenshots with the F1 key ingame. Use an image host like Tinypic or Imgur and post them in %7Boption%7D tags or use the Insert Image button in the post editor and put spoiler tags around them if they\'re big (nuclear fallout button on the editor).

Thank you for the tip! Now I have a imgur. And about the landing, I couldn\'t see where the ground was. I actually managed to pop in a quicksave before I tried to land. I just had to move the file, so eventually I\'ll have Jeb on the moon!

Those are some beautiful shots. You definitely have establishing orbit down, as that is one sexy orbit of the Mun. And yeah, it\'s the general rule of thumb to land on the day side of the Mun, as visibility is barely there on the dark side. Maybe in a near future update the rockets will get lights as well.
