I'm doubt that green gas giant thing: gas giants clouds color is defined by atmosphere composition... and green makes no sense to me :-/.

Well, this is the Dev's universe, and from the picture above, it is proving that it is a Green Gas Giant.

Okay guys, I'm joining the guessing game!

And my guess would be that our lone Kerbonaut watches the rise (or set) of a planet, being safely landed on probably a moon.

And maybe, just maybe it's Yogui's spacecraft from this post I found earlier:

Hey, Yogui! Thought you might like to see what the MSL landing inspired me to do:

So, case closed?

Yes, but this not changing fact that gas giants in this color and composition dosen't exist (and couldn't) :P.

No molten core, heating it up. :P

When its temperature is twice as high as Kerbin or Mun?

Its orbit brings it closer to Kerbol than Kerbin or Mun does, it moves slow, rotates slow, so it has a lot of direct exposure to Kerbol for prolonged periods of time.

It shouldn't exist the way it does. Yet it's there.

If that green planet is a green gas giant, then it's a green gas giant.

This isn't our universe anyway, as it's been said before.

Here's another picture of my retouched image. Now upside down and I have changed the hue. Cropped to the War of the Worlds like Mars Tripod thing.

This retouched image finally makes things perfectly clear to me.

The Space Kraken is being replaced by Zombie Anubis.

We have got quite a lot of planet pictures and stuff to do with planets. But we haven't got any IVA pictures. Developers, could you show us some pictures of something else rather than planets please. I am looking forward to planets, but I want to see how IVA is getting on too.

Nova said that the image was of one of these.

Kerbal descending onto surface

alien with antennae and a blaster gun

satellite orbiting Meander IMO

Kerbal Curiosity Rover closing in on a RED planet!

Left half looks like a planet, top right quarter looks like a ship/lander and a moon right above it.

large Moon like rock with a planet in the backround.

disc of a planet in the background, a whitish monolith in orbit, and a spacecraft stuck to it laterally.

And not these.

Space Kraken

Space Walrus

Space Snake

Asteroid

Docking

Space Station

Planet

Didn't turn the image upside down as quite per Jons suggestion, but on its side and got this:

Which looks like a Kraken to me, might explain why it's the lone Kerbonauts last image.

In case you guys haven't seen this yet.

Could someone mirror this for me? For some reason I can't see it, or any of Nova's pictures of the planets.

There was a link to an album of photos Nova uploaded, but I think I didn't have permission or something?

There won't be a 0.16.1.

This is the sadist thing I have read on the forum in awhile.

I hope that means the time between 16-17 will be shorter than a month or two. There are some significant bugs in 16 that cant really be fixed with mods but could easily be fixed (in about 2-3 hrs) by the devs.

Ah well, 17 is looking to be a nice patch. I just hope they dont wait too long as the bug fixes are easily just as important as the new content.

Okay, I shall have a guess.

The picture, as someone pointed out, resembles some form of underwater craft. Therefore, I shall guess that KSP is getting underwater transport, and to demonstrate this feature there will be an ocean planet (little to no land) as the fourth rocky planet.
