0.16 Hiding RCS tanks inside the big decouplers?

Recommended Posts

I\'ve read references to people tucking RCS tanks inside the large decouplers, but try as I might, I can\'t seem to do it. Can anyone tell me how that\'s done?

I swear I searched these forums for the answer, but found nothing.

Edit: My real reason for asking is I haven\'t figured out how to integrate RCS systems with the new larger ship parts in v 0.16. The smaller diameter RCS tank doesn\'t fit well with the bigger parts. So if anyone has hints on how to do that, I\'ll be happy.

It\'s possible! And surprisingly easy! :)

1. Place the decoupler below any part.

2. Place the bottom of the RCS tank on the bottom of the decoupler so the tank goes inside the decoupler.

3. Place any part so that the top attaches to the top of the RCS tank.

4. Profit!

Also, it will make the part below the decoupler look smaller, as a part of it is inside the decoupler and the RCS tank.

That\'s....slightly nonintuitive. And even with those explicit instructions, it still took some doing. I think I got it working, I just have to get the thing into space to test it. Thank you for the help, Kisko.

I\'ll test it out when I get home from work....oh, about 13 hours from now. What day is it? Oh that\'s right: Blursday. I can\'t tell one day from another lately. I need a vacation!

(Later, after having tested)

Yeah, that worked. Thanks so much!
